School Council

School Council

It is extremely important that the children should have a voice in how their school operates.  To this end, we have established a School Council, elected annually by the children themselves.  Candidates from each year group present their ideas about why they think they deserve to be on the Council to their peers.  The rest of the children then vote on who they think should represent them from their year.

In Year 6, three candidates are chosen for the role of President and two Deputies.  Each child then holds the position of President for a term.  Once chosen, the children meet every first Monday of each month to discuss ideas and proposals put forward by their fellow pupils for them to consider.  The Presidents then meet with the Head Teacher to discuss their proposals/suggestions.

The School Councillors for 2019/2020 are:

Year 3 – Jenson, Oba and Frankie

Year 4 – Austin, Raphy, Kitty

Year 5 – Craig, Kiana, Freida

Presidents and deputies are – Jack, Maya and Ania
