Manor Lodge Parents’ Committee

The Parents’ Committee comprises a group of mums and dads. We meet up once a month, or more often if an event is imminent, for about an hour. All parents are met with a warm welcome, whether they interested to see what happens on the committee or are available to get involved in an event. The meetings are sociable and friendly whilst practical and efficient and are a great way of meeting parents of children of other classes.

We are always happy to hear any suggestions about events or how you might like to get involved.

The Parents’ Committee hold a number of events over the school year, which provide opportunities for Manor Lodge parents and children to feel part of the school community. Sometimes the events are a social gathering for parents but mostly the whole family can join in and interact with the school community on a purely entertainment basis.

Every year we host the Macmillan Coffee Morning, a Christmas event, an Easter Fun Day, a Summer Fete and an evening event such as a Bollywood Night, a Supper Quiz or a Pampering Evening.

These events either raise money for charity or to be reinvested in our children at school. Recently money raised by the Parents’ Committee has provided the children with new playground equipment, sound equipment for the Smart Hall and all the materials and chocolate eggs for Easter Fun Day.

Our meetings are held upstairs in the dining room. Please remember to sign in and out at reception if you are joining us. If you can’t join us but would like a copy of the minutes, please just ask

Looking forward to welcoming you to the committee,

Christine Michaels-Mehmet, Chair

LinkedIn – Professional Networking Group for Manor Lodge Parents

Would you like to join a professional networking group for Manor Lodge parents?

A group of parents from the Parents’ Committee have set up a closed (secret) group on LinkedIn. The idea is to get as many parents on board as possible.

How do I join?

Please connect on LinkedIn with or or to be invited to the MLS Parents’ Professional Networking group and continue the discussion online.

The group is secret and will not appear in any searches, so the only way to join is by asking to connect with one of these three parents on LinkedIn, or to email them directly.

Best regards,

Chloe, Sylvain, Neel and the Parents’ Committee
