Junior School

All our children are expected to progress from the Infant Department into the Juniors at the end of Year 2. Here the teaching becomes increasingly subject based.

The form teacher acts as a personal tutor to the children in their class and is in close contact with the parents. He or she, together with the specialist teachers, will help your child to learn at an appropriate pace, independently and collaboratively applying knowledge and skills already acquired.

As in the Infant Department, pupils benefit from a wide variety of educational trips and visiting speakers, exhibitions and workshops. In Year 5, pupils have their first experience of a residential trip when they spend four days at Flatford Mill on a Geography field trip. Year 6 enjoy a five day residential graduation trip to France.

Throughout the Juniors we foster a sense of community, individual responsibility, consideration and courtesy within a productive, dynamic and extremely happy working environment.
