Our ultimate goal is to support other schools to create a Space to Be garden so that they too can address the health and wellbeing of their students using an outdoor space. Our long-term objective is to raise funds to help schools less fortunate than ours and to create a community of schools that follow the Space to Be ethos.
We will be responsible for bringing together advice on design, landscaping/planting and coordination of labour. Space to Be will help schools to create a beautiful, aesthetic garden that reflects their unique character and wellbeing needs.
By coordinating and liaising with the Parent body, Staff and wider community we will assist in ensuring that the principle objective of improving the health and well-being of the students becomes the overarching aim of the school.
We will offer training and support to help teachers plan out their academic activity in a way that makes use of the garden a teaching tool.
We will encourage each school community to participate in the physical building and fund raising to create their very own Space to Be.
