Trees are everywhere! This week our stories are After the Storm and Owl Babies. We used these books to help with our Literacy, writing clues about animals and leaving a note to say where we have gone so our babies don’t worry. The leaves assisted us with our Numeracy; doubling, halving and sharing. We counted the total of leaves we had and shared them either side of a log. We explored so many practical ways to double, share or halve. We went on our school trip to College Lake. It was a fantastic day full of exciting activities, sunshine and learning. Eating our packed lunch outside was great but Edward Bear had stolen them first and we weren’t sure if he had eaten them all up! It was a tiring day and some of us fell asleep on the coach on the way home! We will be using all our knowledge of the trip to help us next week to write about the trip and use the activities played to help with our learning and recall.
