Nursery: 14th May

This half term has flown by and we only have one week left! We have enjoyed many activities linked to water this week while finding out about some amazing Aquatic animals that lived alongside the dinosaurs. In Communication and Language, we had fun trying to describe the feel of cold, warm and bubbly water and in Math’s we explored capacity. The children have been using shells for counting and sorting activities this week and been weighing dinosaurs out in the garden. Our new mud kitchen has proved very popular with the children. Our dinosaurs have been well fed this week with some delicious looking mud pies! Talking of mess the children really threw themselves into searching our dinosaur swamp for letters. Sometimes quite literally. Sorry, for any swamp gunge that may have made its way home! Inside and out the children continue to explore and discover new things during Child Initiated Learning. Mathematics in the sandpit, Design and Technology in the construction area and improving their Physical skills on the bikes.
