Reception: 2nd October 2017

This week in Reception we have been Down on the Farm! We went for a walk as the farmer in the field next door was ploughing it! He was quite surprised to see us all watching him! We have used the story Duck in a Truck to help us with our Literacy and also enjoyed acting out the funny story. In the outdoor area, and conservatory, we have been focusing on our topic and made tractors out of everything we could use and painted our own farm animals. We also used the small sand tray to plant our own crops and dig them up again. We had a few horse riding helmets and hobby horses for using in the outdoor area, we happily raced around the playground! As part of our PSE we have been learning about the Jewish Sabbath; we made our classroom tables into one long table and used the pretend food to share this special occasion with each other. A big thank you to Mrs Mitchell for sending in some Grape Juice, Challah bread and items that are from the Jewish faith for us to share as a year group. Such a busy week, our weeks are going so fast!
