This week’s theme is Chinese New Year and the Year of the Rooster. We read the story of ‘The Chinese New Year and discussed which animal won the race.
The children have enjoyed imaginative play, in our Chinese restaurant, whilst dressing up and cooking delicious meals
We teach the children kindness and many of the children have identified how it is a fresh new year and how working together is important. The children are a great team and have worked in groups to prepare for a new season.
The various activities were making Chinese hats, matching shapes onto their individual dragons and independently cutting out rooster templates to use during their child initiated play.
In our PE sessions, we had 3 different animal groups, from the Chinese New Year story. As a team we practised throwing, catching, and rolling.
We would like to wish all of our families Kung Hai Fat Choy!
