Thank you to Mrs Overton, who kindly brought in photographs and creative resources, about her charity trip to Tanzania.
The children were enthusiastic and immersed in all of the activities. We learnt about how the people of Tanzania have to carry their own water on their heads, whilst Mrs Overton gave the children bean bags to pretend and role play. The next activity, Mrs Overton provided everyone with templates to make their own necklaces to become a chief from Tanzania.
The children have made a book using the photographs, which will be displayed in our foyer.
This week the children have learnt about the Nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty.
The children decided that Humpty is an egg, whilst making playdough. The children showed great enthusiasm rolling the dough into egg shapes, whilst counting how many they made.
We also discussed Humpty Dumpty’s oval shape. We went on to paint a wall and Humpty Dumpty, whilst learning about various shapes and materials for our Maths display.
