Our topic this term is Globetrotters. We will be exploring all over the Globe. For our first two days of school we explored Manor Lodge and its history. We learnt all about past Head teachers and why some places in Manor Lodge are called their names. We compared old and new photos and looked at how Manor Lodge had changed. This week we have been all over the United Kingdom. Each day we visited a new area; England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We made Tartan for our own Kilts, we tessellated shapes like the Giants Causeway, made Flags for each country and painted dragons. Outside we constructed Hadrian’s Wall out of all our building equipment and measured the height and length of it. We learnt the story of the Giants Causeway and how the causeway was built. On Friday it SNOWED! We went outside and had great fun jumping, feeling and building in the snow. We have had such a busy week.
