What a fabulous week! As Winter approaches, the children have investigated putting sparkly water outdoors to observe the effects of the weather turning colder. The children had fun exploring with solid ice and noticed how the ice melted in their warm hands.
Our sound of the week was ‘i’. We have discussed how people in colder climates create igloos. We were impressed with how the children went on to make their own igloos using sparkly white play-dough. The children also extended their learning by constructing with wooden blocks or inter-stars. It was wonderful to observe how well the children worked together as a team!
