On Wednesday 9 September the Year 6 girls had a lacrosse workshop, which was run by Caity Patrick. Caity has just played for Wales in the World Cup, which was held in Scotland.
She started by taking us through a fun and enjoyable warm up. After the warm up Caity taught us how to throw and catch with the lacrosse sticks and then we had the chance to try it ourselves. Caity also showed us how to pick up the balls with our lacrosse sticks. Following that we did some lacrosse relays in three teams and we practised different skills. After the relay we took part in another competitive game in two teams. Caity numbered us one to thirteen and when your number was called you had to run onto the pitch and try and score a goal.
At the end we all said a huge thank you to Caity for coming to coach us lacrosse.
