World Book Day 2013

World Book Day is on 7 March 2013 and it is the biggest celebration of books and reading of the year.

Join in with the World Book Day Celebrations and discover more about the wonderful world of reading.

On Wednesday 6 March, meet Guy Parker-Rees, illustrator and author of many favourite picture books. He will be leading a special session with Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children and then signing books after school from 3pm.

Look at the website www.worldbookday.com for events happening in your local library or bookshops, and for fun activities to join in at home. There are quizzes, competitions, videos and book trailers about your favourite books and authors, and suggestions of books to read.

Everyone will receive a special World Book Day book token, which can EITHER be swapped for FREE specially-produced World Book Day book OR used to get £1 off any book or audio book priced £2.99 or more.
